In this podcast is about change control. Effective change control is one of the most important aspects of project delivery. Time and time again poor change control has been demonstrated as the cause of additional cost and time over runs. In this section we look at the sources of change on projects and how these changes can be controlled through a formal process. The APMP assessment criteria covered in this podcast include

  • 9.3 explain the different stages of change control (such as request, review, assessment, decision, implementation),
  • 9.4 explain the relationship between change control and configuration management, and the concept of change freeze,
  • 9.5 explain the advantages and disadvantages of a change control process
